Sunday 8th February
So today Otosan and I headed to Yokahama, we went to a park where you could see the whole bay and omg its huge and very busy…. And you can see all the way back to Tokyo (Tokyo tower) and its all just like our inner city buildings, but this is a fair distance away… I’m guessing anyway considering it took us over 30min on the train to get there. After we had finished there which was basically after I had taken a lot of photos we went to china town, yeah that’s right I’m in Japan and I spent half a day wondering through china town. It seemed a lot more real than ever before … not like I really know having never been to china but just the fact that everything thing was run by and most of the people in the streets were Asian it seamed lot more like I would expect china to be.
We then walked back to the bay and went aboard the NYK Hikawamaru ( a huge ship) which has had a very interesting history and played a vital role in the history of Japan and its relations with other countries especially of that whit America. For more info see http://www.ssmaritime.com/hikawamaru.htm
After which we went back to the train station but discovered we still had time so we went up the landmark tower, which is basically a lookout point like Tokyo tower but is a lot less well known. This is where I made the mistake again of ordering an iced coffee I had done this before in Japan and people had already on this trip warned me about it however I forgot. Iced coffees here are just that coffee with ice in them, with absolutely no milk content at all.
Anyway after that it was pretty much head back to Tokyo and wait for a bit then head back to Takaoka so I won’t bore you with those details
Monday 9th February
